January 1997 - April 1997. Designed and built a system for serving legacy documentation on Lucent Technologies' internal Web site. Built tools to convert documents from troff, Frame and Word formats to HTML, PostScript and PDF formats.
Norasia Services provides Commercial, Marketing, IT and Administrative services to the Norasia Line, a privately owned container shipping line. Headquartered in Switzerland, Norasia also has Regional Management offices in Hong Kong, Sharjah and Malta and works with over 30 independent agencies around the world.
With 12 direct reports, maintained, enhanced and managed a network of over 200 Sun SPARC stations in 30 sites spread across 9 time zones.
Designed, built and maintained Norasia's WAN, an installation of over 120 machines in 26 sites from the U.K. to Sri Lanka to Taiwan. Comprised mainly of Suns running Solaris 1.1.x there were also a few mVaxen running VMS.

Maintained and enhanced Telephone Directory Assistance database software. Coded in C and Macro-11. Later as a system administrator, supported of the Software Administration group and managed System V, 4.2BSD and PERPOS systems running on Vaxen and CCI 5/30's and 6/32's.
Supported applications programmers. Wrote tools in C, BASIC and Assembly Language. Installed Sykes' first UNIX system and became the system manager.
Coded in FORTRAN for a computer usage accounting system.
